Luna Park Scenic Railway

In 2008 Melbourne's Luna Park commissioned Mark Ogge to paint a 60 square meter painting to decorate the platform of Luna Park's historic Scenic Railway.
The Scenic Railway opened in 1912 and is the oldest continually operating rollercoaster in the world. The painting was commissioned to celebrate the parks 95th birthday.
The enormous painting is contains over 30 superbly painted life-size human and animal figures, and sumptuous detail. It creates an atmosphere of adventure and wonder as people enter the ride, reflecting the Moorish theming of the historic Scenic Railway "station" building.
